Non EU singie parent of British child.
5 years student visa+ 5 years Leave to Remain.
Applied on 16/07/19 ( under Zambrano) via post and received passports and biometrics letter withing 7 days.
Biometrics taken 29/07/19 and now waiting..

Does any know whether return of passports indicates approval?(my solicitor thinks i wont get it as i qualify under other categories)

The form itself states:

If you have been granted leave to enter or remain in the UK under another route, then you are ineligible to apply on this form, as a Zambrano right to reside only applies if a person has no other means to remain lawfully in the UK” (Section 7 (Page 24)).
