Credit Card Payment Query

Post by rajesh9pl » Fri Feb 04, 2005 9:37 am

Hi All,

In HSMP application form, there is field called "Issue No" for Credit Card details.

Can some let me know what is "Issue No" for a Credit Card? How many total digits are there in the Issue No?

Thanks,
Rajesh.

rajesh9pl, the form in question is trying to cope with Credit Cards and also Debit Cards.

In the UK some Debit Cards have an issue number and details of that are needed when trying to process payments through that Debit Card. However Credit Cards do not tend to have an issue number, so no problem, just leave that entry blank.

Likewise, some cards show not only an expiry date but also a start date. But if your particular card does not have a start date, just ignore those entries when completing a form.

Thanks you John. Now I have understood the need of Issue # w.r.t to Debit card and UK.

Thanks once again for prompt reply.

Regards,
Rajesh.
