Spouse of British citizen will loose EU4 Fam

My wife received a letter from eu treaty department today that in case of no deal Brexit, freedom of movement will stop applying on 31 st October. They are looking for an address proof and will communicate when a transition to domestic immigration system is in place. It says that they will convert all spouses of U.K. citizen under eu4 on 31st Oct to a transitional visa and continuous residence will not be broken.
I will send them copy of my Irish passport as I was naturalised in June ceremony . Hopefully she will get her Irish citizenship approval soon as well

I think All EUFAM holders of a British Citizen, spouse or dependent(s) are getting these letters. My parent got the same letter through this week.

Completely agree. There is nothing to worry about. Just posted it for FYI .
It could be isssue for people who are planning to move to Eire to exercise testy rights. They will have to put in their applications by 31st October

She has 10 years Permanent Residence

The department of Justice is wrong. For those non EEA family members who already have Permanent Residence, then Brexit should have no effect on them.

Only those family members with 5 years residence card, will need to apply.

I think what they will do is change her status from eufam to stamp 4. So her rights in Ireland will not be affected but she will need visa to travel to Eu in future
