Passport stolen - Applying for ILR with travel document

Hi,

I had my passport and BRP stolen less than a month ago on holiday . I have 2 months left to renew my BRP so I don’t need to replace it. However I was provided with a Certificate of Identification which is in lieu of a passport. Can I use this to apply for the ILR and prove that I have submitted an application to replace my passport? It won’t be till Nov when I could get an appointment to process passport replacement at our Kenyan High Commission. And yes I have attempted calling them and emailing for an emergency with little help. Thanks

You should be fine as long as you have evidence that your passport was stolen for example a police report
