non-eu citizen(RUSSIAN), pre-settled status, LOST BRC, divorce.PLS HELP!!!!!

Good evening all,

I would be very happy if someone would help with the advise.

So I'm Russian, came to UK as married EU citizen and have been married around 5 years now, and we were living in UK around 4 years, during this time I have been issued BRC card. After happened that I lost BRC, called to report a loss, so they cancelled my card next day. And the day after I found my BRC but it was already not valid, HO asked me to send it to them but I didn't. I didn't reapply for any replacement as I got involved in a divorce with my husband(still in process, from 1st February 2019) I applied with this "cancelled" card for pre-settled status, and it got scanned through the settlement app.

So my question is I really need to travel soon, HOW do i do that??? pre-settled status granted, divorce is processing(no idea how long more), brc is not valid.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

From what https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... en-damaged says, I'd be more worried about your UK status at all rather just a travel, which is coming soon.

You can be fined up to £1,000 and made to leave the UK if you do not apply for a replacement within 3 months.

I assume you lost it more than 3 months ago? I would advise to do a replacement as soon as possible and try to soften them a bit with the divorce story.

You are playing with fire mate. Keep going like that and you will find yourself in Russia in no time.

If you leave the UK, they won't let you back in with this invalid card.

If I were you, I would cancel all my travels plans for the moment and fix the issue with that card as first priority.
