Tier 1 (General) Age verification

Post by boshkash » Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:23 pm

Hi all,
I am in the process of compiling the documents for my Tier 1 (General) application. Just had a query regarding age verification.

My passport does not give the full date of birth in dd/mm/yyyy format. It only states the year (e.g. 1983). Would it be alright to submit my original birth certificate accompanied with a certified english translation thereof, which gives the full format of the date as dd/mm/yyyy?

Appreciate your responses.

Since your passport does not display your complete date of birth, you will have to claim "exceptional circumstances". Read Tier 1 policy guidance *carefully* and see what alternate evidence is acceptable in such cases (of exceptional circumstances).
