Naric help

Post by poper » Mon Oct 14, 2019 12:27 am

Hi

I will be applying for ILR in Sep 2020 under the Long Residence route. I have entered the UK in Sep 2010 on Tier 2 ICT Established Staff(Issued in Aug 2010) and have continued on the same visa since then extending within the UK. So, hopefully a straightforward case for me.

Spouse's case(Tier 2 ICT dependent) :
UK Entry: Sep 2010
UK Exit: Jan 2012
UK Entry on a new entry clearance: Nov 2012(Break - approx 240 days)
My spouse is continuously living in the UK since Nov 2012

My understanding is she will need to switch to FLR(M) visa after I obtain my ILR which requires Naric assessment/English test.

Question:
While applying Naric, the "Immigration Route" shows two options - a) Family b) Settlement
I will need to select a) Family for her case.
When she eventually is eligible for ILR through Long Residence route in Nov 2022, do I need to re-do Naric assessment for her by selecting b) Settlement?

Please help
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

You need to apply under NARIC Red route. Family, Settlement and Nationality are under the same category

Thanks Zimba.
Is applying for ILR in Nov 2022 by Long Residence the only earliest route available to her and my son who was born abroad and living in the UK since Nov 2012?
