Claimed benefits by mistake

Post by shriakhilesh » Sun Dec 01, 2019 12:02 am

Hi, my friend is switching employer from tier 2 general to tier 2 general shortage occupancy category.

While filling CH2 form there is a question asking if you are using any Public Funds. Now he has realised that he is getting Child benefit from last 2 months and while checking his current BRP it says ‘No Public Funds’, so looks like applying for child benefit was a mistake.

Now filling the form should he say Yes ( which he was not eligible) or No which would be giving wrong information. He is Indian national

Shouldn’t he be denied when he made request?

Anyways what should he fill in the form.. please suggest

Is the child British or does the person have a British spouse/civil partner?
