Tier 2 Extension to Shortage Occupation

Hello All,

A Quick Question.

My friend recently got extended of his Tier 2 General under Shortage Occupation, but his 1st COS issued in 2016 as non-shortage occupation.

He is eligible for ILR in 2021, As his new COS(Extension) issued after 5th Oct 2019 is he exempted from salary threshold while apply ILR??
