FLR M Question

Post by MJ62 » Tue Dec 17, 2019 5:11 pm

Good evening all, a new member here.
I have a question about my wife's FLR M spouse visa extension and in particular relating to the section regarding children

The form asks the applicant "Do you have any children of 18 years old or under" (Yes)

"Are all of your children applying with you on this application" (No)

"Why are all of your children not applying with you as part of this application" (They live with their father in applicant's country of origin)

It then asks for each child's full details including their passport details, and their date of entry into the UK which obviously we are unable to complete as they do not live in the UK.

"Evidence of (Applicant) to (child), such as a written agreement between both parents or a child arrangement order"

"Evidence of (Applicant) parental relationship with (Child), such as a birth or adoption certificate, proof of financial contributions to the child’s well-being or general evidence demonstrating concern and interest in the child"

The only way we can proceed is to tick no children 18 or under but this would contradict the original visa application and risk refusal but unless we do this and provide a cover letter I can't see how we can move to the next stage. :?

Surely the question should be 'Do you have any children 18 or under in the UK' ? or other wording

Any advice is very much appreciated.
Regards MJ
