tier 2 visa , need urgent help please

Hello ,
I got my entry visa tier 2 ,but i could not travel because of urgent familial issue, ,i contacted my embloyer and applogized that i can not join any more and asked them to cancel/withdraw my cos ,they understood my situation and accept to cancel the cos, but i wonder what is my situation in the future if i want to work again in uk ? in view i already got my entry visa but did not enter the uk?
