Is there an urgent consideration form for Tier 1 extension

Post by chakku71 » Sat Aug 02, 2008 4:48 am

Hi all,
Applied for Tier 1 (general) before my HSMP expired (1+3) (date of expiry July 1). I have got an acknowledgment that they have received the application form on 17th June and payments have also been processed. I need to make an urgent travel in two weeks. Is there an urgent processing request for Tier 1 & if so, who should they be addressed/faxed/written to. I had E-mailed to the customer services and got a reply that 'it is still in consideration'. Getting worried now.

I believe, there is an urgent treatment for exceptional circumstances, but they specifically mention that travel or pre-arranged start date for new work is not considered sufficient basis for urgent treatment - it may not hurt to try, but I believe you'd be facing an uphill battle there.

You may consider calling and trying to get a sense of when to expect it back verbally, as written responses carry more responsibility of sorts...
