TB Testing Criteria for Tier 2 general visa

Post by neetha_n » Wed Jan 15, 2020 12:35 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for Tier 2 General Visa in Feb and travel to UK in April 2020. I am an Indian National and was in UK previously from Jan 2014 to Sep 2018 and moved to Germany in Oct 2018 and have been staying in Germany since then. During our stay we have visited India multiple times for a long holiday of 1-2 months. Our last visit to Indian was between Mid July - Mid September.

As per this link https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa

You will not need a TB test if any of the following apply:

1) you’re a diplomat accredited to the UK
2) you’re a returning UK resident and have not been away for more than 2 years
3) you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months

Do i still need a TB Test ?
As i have been leaving in Germany for bast 14 months and have been out of Germany for not more than 6 months. But Since my return from India, it as not been full 6 months in Germany yet.

Thanks for any help here.

Regards,
Neetha
