EC- Maintenance of Funds - Can we use funds available in PPF

Hi,
I am planning to appply for EC. However, have a query for maintenance of funds. Can we use PF statements or a statement from bank saying that 50% of the amount has been available for 3 months.
Or is it that this needs to specifically be bank statements.
Has anyone used this as a finance proof??

Any pointers will help a lot.

EPF - No.

PPF - Check with BHC. It is allowed, then you will need a letter from the bank to confirm that you have immediate access to X amount (PPF has a lock-in period of 5 years, after which you can only withdraw certain percentage of the total) and that the amount has been held for 3 months.
