Citizenship, IVA/bankruptcy

Post by Risingstars » Thu Jan 30, 2020 8:52 pm

Hi
I hope somebody can help me.
I due to apply for citizenship anytime from now on. However, my business debts from a ceased trading business(shop), has gone out of hand. I am trying to get IVA go ahead. However, if my creditors try to push me into bankruptcy, it's fine as long as it won't affect my citizenship application. I have no assets, no valuable, and I don't have big personal debts, only about £1000 (credit card and loan). My rent and council tax are always paid on time.
Moreover, because I was a sole trader, so I have to take on all debts after the business gone burst.
I have an IVA advicer but just couldn't go through yet, due to personal circumstances.
I know IVA should be fine and my business debts haven't shown up on my credit history, (done credit check by insolvency agent today). However, I will definitely be truthful on my application, just in case.
To be very honest, I would prefer to make my application first before trying to get go ahead with IVA. If the creditors don't accept my IVA, then I can file bankruptcy.
Am I correct?
Finally, can anyone advice about the B1 trinity English test? Do Pearson centre do them? I got different answer from different people.
Sorry for long message.
P.S. : this is not my first post, I was a member here before, more than 10years ago, but just forgot my username and password.
Hope everybody is doing ok.

Refer to the list of approved test centres: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... uage-tests
Pearson are not on the list. It's Trinity College and British Council in the UK. You book direct with them online @ £150.

Regarding IVA etc other members may wish to comment.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
