Time Restriction to Enter the UK after Entry Clearance

I have just got the HSMP entry clearance and I'm planning to travel in January 2009. Does anyone know of any penalty or restrictions that may not allow me enter the uk on arrival or affect my hsmp extension after 2 years?

I have checked the website and can't seem to find anything. I would really appreciate any insight or advice to help me with my planning.
