If I applied for the Settled Status during "test phase" I don't need to do it again, right?

If I applied for the Settled Status during "test phase" I don't need to do it again, right?

Post by kiwikiwikiwi » Thu Feb 20, 2020 6:13 pm

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but a couple of articles I've read in the press made me doubt it as they say something along the lines "Settled Status scheme, which opened in March 2019..." But I applied(and got granted) SS in January 2019, during what they were referring to as "test phase", so I just wanted to confirm it wasn't like a practice run, and I don't need to submit my application again? Thank you

If you have Settled Status you don't need to apply again.

The correct term is "pilot" not "test', since this was a period specifically designed to capture feedback and identify any problems while running the process for real.

Thus real. Thus not dummy. Thus valid.

It opened for selected beta testers as early as December 2018; but to the general public only in March 2019. In either case the applications and their outcomes are real and valid.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest, kamoe.

*it appears in my previous post it wrongly auto-corrected "S S" to Surinder Singh- it should be "settled status" of course.

It's not wrong.

S S = SS
E U S S = EUSS

Try the above in a test post (with preview mode).
