Hello,

My wife returned to the UK with a RR Visa in January. She initially had ILTR but left the UK after 5 years in 2015 and had to stay out for more than 2 years.

As part of the RR process, she had to go get her Biometric information taken in her country of residence. We were lead to believe that when she arrived here, after having her Vignette stamped, the Biometric card would be sent to the Post Office.

Once she was in the UK, we went to the PO to have them redirect her Biometric card to the local office, but they said they had no record of her or her details. However she did have the digital document stating which PO her card would be available 10 days after arriving, which we got as part of the RR visa application.....

Anyway, upon the advice of the man in the Post Office, we waited another 2 weeks, and still, there was nothing on the their system about her Biometrics card....

Now we are worried as her return Residency visa was only for 6 months and that expires in April, and after numerous calls to the Home Office, they either send us to a 3rd party company who knows immigration, or to a phone lien that charges over 1 poound a minute and cannot give specific details.

We are at a loss as to what to do next so I thought I would ask here. Appreciate the help if anyone can give..

Hello and sorry to bump my own thread but wanted to make sure that what I wrote made sense and that it wasn't being ignored due to being silly or something.

We did go to the home office website and select the option for missing Biometrics; each time we did that, I think 3 or 4 times we always got some unrelated reply about having a 6 month Visa and recommending we resolve the issue before coming to the UK, even though we are in the UK.

Is there some sort of issue with BMR now that we left Europe?

Would really appreciate if anyone can give some advice or recommendations as to whom we can contact about it, we are running out of time as her 6 month RR visa expires next month, and we followed the process and paid all the money as per the website, and are now left in limbo with no help.
