As from a previous thread I am getting married to a Croatian overstayer in the UK. We would obviously like her parents and brother to come to the wedding so they will need to get visitors visa's.

I have a couple of questions from the VAF1 form.
5.5 Do you have family or close friends in the UK?
Obviously they will have to fill this in and put me/us down so the question really is how much information should we provide? Do we write a letter explaining everything or just put in the realationship and hope they don't ask about her status here. I have not ever met her parents but have met her brother as he is in the merchant navy and we visit him on the ship whenever he comes to a UK port.

Do we have to give all facts that we think may be relevent to the application, which I assume they would be, or is it perfectly reasonable to just answer the questions as they are? We don't want to jeapardise their chances of being able to visit but also want to be truthful in the way the form is filled out.

We will also provide an invite to the wedding, a copy of the notice of marriage certificate and a letter inviting them to stay in our house with proof that the accomodation is satisfactory. Is there anything else we should provide?

Whatever you do - DONT mention that your wife to be is an 'overstayer'. The ECO might refuse to grant a Visa.
Where there is a will there is a way.
