Spouse Visa - Entry clearance - intended travel date

Post by Pikachu9151 » Tue Mar 10, 2020 1:36 am

I put six months in advance but got an email saying I need to change to be within 3 months.
Can I ask for 6 months or I can change it once I get the visa using https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... l-vignette

Content of the email, it said it is auto generated

The UK Decision Making Centre is currently assessing the application submitted by the above named.

I note that your proposed travel date for you and your dependants is in August 2020.

We are only able to sissue Biometric Residence Permits up to 3 months from now.

Please can you confirm that your new proposed travel date. This can be any time between 10/3/2020 to 10/6/2020.

As the mail stated, HO can only accommodate 3 months so you can not ask for 6 months - which you did already hence the mail.
Yes, you can get the travel date to be within 3momths and when visa is issued you can mow apply for transfer of vignette.

Thank you for your reply. I misread that we can apply 6 months ahead

The timing is very tight then to arrange for travel and finish all the stuff (like resignation etc)

Given that I heard the processing/decisions might take up to 3-6 months.
