EEA (QP) + non EU member

Post by lichzz » Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:45 am

Hi all
I hope someone can solve my confusion.
My partner is French and I’m non EU member. We apply as unmarried partner.
Our immigration adviser help us apply online using EEA QP with my partner( I was included in this application). We paid £65 for each person and plus biometric enroll fee.

My question is: my immigration adviser say I am applying for residence card. But the application form is named EEA QP?

And why our process looks different than other on this form where other do EEA(FM) EEA 2? While other receive letter to do biometric, but we book appointment just after submit the form online. And the free appointment need to wait for one month.

Can someone explain me why it looks different and is this a faster route?

EEA (QP) is for the EEA national = the person with an EEA citizenship/passport exercising Treaty Rights in the UK. It's not for family members.

For family members:

EEA(FM) for "close" family members such as a married partner

EEA(EFM) for extended relatives including non married partner

My question is
Why do my application process looks different than others?
While I see other doing EEA QP+family member who apply online they still post their evidence and received biometric letter. But I do all online and had to book appointment to UKVCAS.
Can I still reference their timeline?
