Hi all,
I was wondering anyone has any advice on the case mentioned below:
1. My baby was born in the UK on January 28 2020, in Colchester, Essex.
2. I, father, am on a Tier-2 (General) and wife on Tier-2 (Dependent). Indian passport holders.
3. I have quickly applied for and obtained the baby's birth certificate from the local council by early February.
4. I have a three-month window (27 April 2020) to apply for my baby's Tier-2 dependent visa; otherwise, NHS service would be paid.
5. (ISSUE) I am finding it difficult to apply for my baby's Indian passport now, needed before applying for the UK visa, due to restricted travel movements, limited public transport facility from Colchester to London VFS passport office, VFS also is running a limited walk-in service these days from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM only and only first-come-first-serve basis which puts me in a disadvantage as I need to travel far using public transport given that I do not own a private vehicle.
6. (ADVICE REQUESTED) I have gone through the visa extension guidelines on the Home Office page for those affected due to COVID-19 and on this forum, but the case above seems to be not covered. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the situation mentioned above recently, or any idea what would happen after the 3-month window is over? Do we have to pay for GP or hospital visits if we could not apply for the UK visa by 27 April 2020?
