I am a British national and about to apply for my wife's visa extension. She is already in UK. Just had some questions regarding the online application with which I need some help with:
1. IELTS test. She was to take an IELTS A2 (Previously taken A1 only). The test centres are closed due to COVID-19 and will not open until her visa expiry (in about 3 weeks time). Should we still go ahead submit the online application saying cannot provide IELTS certification in current circumstances? We can submit a proof of booking.
2. After the accomodation questions, the form says:
You only need to provide this evidence if:
- you are exempt from meeting the income threshold
- you are responsible for some housing costs such as rent, mortgage or council tax
3. On the declaration page for the consent question, does she select 'No' or 'Yes' for the following point:
Does the account with the bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation relate to another person who is to provide you financial support?
when the account being used is my account (sponsor's) and in my name alone.
Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
