Smooth Operator,SMOOTH OPERATOR wrote:hi guys
just a quick one, after finishing uni 2 months ago ive been applying for jobs. However, HMRC, British Gas and NHS have told me i do not meet their one criterion, which me haveing a spouse visa and it expires next july. Although i am still waiting for some outcome from some more interviews ive done.
i then rang the UKBA this moring about my anger they told me they were aware some company do this especially the NHS. i then told the bloke on the phone that what happens next year when i want to apply for ILR and i have no payslips to show what will u lot do? deny me an ILR? his answer was " i cannot answer that as there is no directive for that"
surely this could be related to denying one the right to work, earn a living, and subjected to working in limited organisations. i know some of you could argue that some organisation will still employ me but should i be denied a job for having a spouse visa and experienced enough to do the job i have applied for with proven track record compared to someone with limited experience without a spouse visa (other visa).

just past 10A on SET M form:
Evidence of your finances. Bank statements, building society savings book(s), pay slips or other formal documents as evidence
of your and your partner’s ability to maintain and accommodate yourself and any dependants without recourse to public
funds (see Note 6).
In the absence of payslips, to prove that you are financially stable you could provide your bank statements and also a letter from the Job Centre that states that neither of you have ever claimed any benefits.SMOOTH OPERATOR wrote:Evidence of your finances.
