Getting advice on citizenship applications

I'm wondering if there are any organisations or individuals who give advice and opinion on citizenship applications, and whether one's circumstances would make the application unsuccessful? I don't mind paying for professional advice - but I don't think my situation warrents talking to a lawyer and I would like to avoid paying lawyers fees if possible.

You have only just joined this Board. There is lots of free advice to read here. Read relevant topics, and you might well conclude that the application is an easy matter, and that no professional help is needed.

Thank you, John. Actually I have spent a lot of time reading many threads here and have gained a lot of useful information in addition to searching for other relevant info, but I haven't found anything that specifically answered my question - or addressed a situation that mirrored my own. Which isn't to say it's not here. So I'm still wondering if there is such an advice service or if someone could point me to a topic that might deal with this subject.
