ILR appointment - some help would be appreciated

Post by mama » Mon Aug 25, 2008 7:50 pm

Hello
I am sorry if many have posted on this topic before. I have gone back as far as June to find related topics but couldnt find any.
I am a work permit holder since oct 2003. Work permit was first issued for 2 years and subsequently for another 5 years until June 2010.

I have an appointment at PEO Croydon in a few weeks time for ILR. I have gathered the following documents and was wondering if anyone could help tell me if any more is needed??

I have been employed in the same company since 2003 on the same job role. My salary has had annual increases (inflation pegged) along with some bonuses.

1. Original work permit document om 2003 and 2005
2. P60s & all 5 years salary slips
3. 6 months bank statements
4. last year's Savings ISA statements
5. Telephone bills for the past year
6. Council tax bills for all 5 years
7. Water bills for 5 years - our water bill is annual - is that a problem?
8. Gas & electricity bills of last 3 quarters - our bills are only quarterly
9. Marriage certificate
10. Birth certificate of my son
11. Letter from employer stating that I am still in employment . The letter is worded that I joined on 2 oct 2003 on a permanent basis. it also states my annual salary. Will this be sufficient? Can anyone suggest a template that they followed whilst getting letter from employer for ILR?
12. Life in UK pass certificates for spouse and myself
13. Mortgage statement from lender for proof of ownership of house

Do we also need to carry my husband's salary slips, P60s and savings accounts details? Or are they just concerned with mine since I am the WP holder? Also, my son is just 1 year old. Do we need to take him along too? I am not sure how he will behave if it takes ages at the PEO!!

Any other help on what we should expect on that day are most welcome. Thanks a lot in advance.

That documentation is more than enough .....You don't need most of the documentation below ...but its good to keep it with you while going for appointment....incase if required...

You don't need any special documentation (exp marriage certificate) for your husband. And no need to take your son with you...
