Good afternoon all,
I've posted here before and the feedback was extremely helpful and we previously got accepted after rectifying our mistakes, therefore I have returned.
Myself and my partner finally got married a week ago and are now in a position to extend her current 6 month family visa into the full duration version.
We've gotten to a set of questions where it asks about "non-applying children". My partner (Russian national) has no children however I (British citizen) have one from a previous relationship.
My question is, should I include my child in my partners application?
"Does [insert name here] have any other children in the UK that are not applying on this application?"
To us, the obvious and straight answer is "yes" because, of course, I have a child from a previous relationship, he's in the UK and isn't applying. But the subsequent questions and evidence requirements such as his place of address, his birth certificate, his "other parents" details seem majorly out of place. For example, I do not see how my son's birth certificate is relevant to the application at all and of all the evidence pieces required, half of them are solely focused on the child and his mother, it just seems out of place.
