Hello,
I am ready to submit my ILR application as I have been on my Tier 2 General visa for the past 5 years and 2 months; Arrived in the UK on 8th August 2015.
I have booked my Life in the UK test for the next month (October) but have some concerns regarding the current timeline of events.
1. Any indication on how long it takes to get a biometric appointment under the current climate once an ILR application is submitted?
2. Are priority services still in place? I have read on some websites that the priority services speeding the response process to 1-5 business days were suspended and all applicants must go through the normal route, which can take up to 6months during which, one cannot travel
3. Can one apply in another city even if your address is not in that city? Ie. Can a London resident choose a Birmingham centre for biometrics?
4. If I were to submit my ILR application 5 years 6 month after my arrival in the UK, do I consider the last 5 years from the date I submit my application or from the date I entered the UK (not taking into account the last 6 months then)
Thank you very much in advance for your responses.
