Proof of Living in the UK and Evidence that you have been 5 years. SELF EMPLOYED

Post by grinlow » Wed Sep 23, 2020 6:43 pm

Hi,

I have been in the UK for over 7 years and I am self employed.

I have to provide the supporting documentation which it feels it's doubling up on everything.

[x] Evidence that you have been in the UK lawfully for your 3 or 5 year qualifying residence period. This should be evidence that you were here as a worker, student, self-employed, self-sufficient, retired or incapacitated person.

As self employed I supposed presenting all my tax returns should work. Is that correct or what documents can I use?

Also,
[ ] Proof of living in the UK for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse of a British Citizen
If you are an EEA National, you need to include letters from employers, educational establishments or other government departments, indicating your presence in the UK during the relevant 3- or 5-year period.

I am a EEA national and self employed so I would need to go with the government departments I guess. Can I use my Settle Status? I have requested a certificate of residency from HMRC which I don't know if that would be enough
Do these work or is there a specific letter from a department I should provide? I am a bit lost with this.

Thanks
Guido
