Change of company Name CSEP

Hi all,

I am currently on CSEP, 8 months in now. I just got an update that the startup I currently work for got acquired by another company, thus the startup would be shifting under the parent company's name. Everything will remain the same but the company name used will that be of parent. Can someone please comment on this, if there is gonna be an issue when renewing my permit for second year (I am on a two year contract, the employer listed on my CSEP permit is the startup). Also Should I inform DBJEI that the name of the company will be changed?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

You should contact both DBEI and INIS. Save your correspondence with them when you renew your stamp for the second year, and subsequently when you apply for a Stamp 4 support letter.

You shouldn't encounter any issue when renewing your stamp next year, but when you apply for a Stamp 4 support letter, DBEI will check directly with your company. You will want them to know well in advance that your company has been acquired and thus your employer's name has changed.
