Should I include dependant children living outside UK

Post by hary1973 » Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:50 am

Hi

Looking for some advice on our forthcoming family visa application.

I am a UK citizen of Indian origin , consultant surgeon in NHS.
My fiancee is Nepali (currently an asylum seeker)

We are getting married on December 20th (depending on lockdown rules after 2nd of course), no issues raised by homeoffice so far (they still have time..)

Hoping to apply for spouse visa after that (probably on priority route). I understand that she may be asked to go to Nepal and apply ( hope they won't in the current situation)

Wondering whether to add her two children on the application or not. Both live in Nepal. One is 15 full time student, the other 17 and student as well.

Any tips will be appreciated.

Thank you
Best regards

Harish

I think she should disclose her children if she wants to bring them over in the future.

Thank you

Do the dependant children have to have own passports at the time of application? Or simply giving out details such as name and date of birth be enough?

The reason- it's looking a bit difficult to get Nepalese passportwithiut either parent physically present in the country.

Those who have applied in recent past may know? Just personal details enough for my spouse's application?

Know it is too specific a question....hoping someone may know..

If it is very important i.am sure there may be ways to do it in places like Neapl...

Thanks you
Best regards
