advice on ilr urgent

Post by madumani2008 » Wed Sep 17, 2008 9:49 pm

hi me n my partner have been together for more than 2 years. he was on dependent visa of his fathers wp then and i was on a work permit. we then applied for certificate of approval for marriage, which we got it and later we gave notice of marriage to registrar.
later i had to go back to my country as i left my job and new permit was cancelled and i came back on whm visa. recently my partner got his ilr and we wish to get married now as we havent ran out of notice of marriage. would it affect his ilr in anyway or his chances of citizenship???
also i gave birth to a baby and he has registered his name as her father....would that revoke his ilr????
please help urgently.....

So you mean that having given the notice at the Register Office, you are still in the 12-month period to get married? Fine, just firm up a date with the Register Office, or religious place.

No, and no!

No!

So, get married, and then soon after the marriage apply on form FLR(M) for a 2-year spouse visa.[/quote]
