Hi
I have submitted my ILR application on 12th Oct 2020 under Tier 2 route. My dependents Tier 2 will be expired on 15th Jan 2021. I am hoping to submit their extension application on 15th Dec. FYI, they will become eligible for ILR in April 2021.
As Tier 2 visa was replaced with Skilled Worker (SW) visa starting 1st Dec 2020, will my dependents' visa extension will be under the extant of new rules that are applicable for SW?
That being said, I will not have to show maintenance support as we are living in this country more than 12 months? Is this right? My employer has given me a letter of employment but have not certified on it re maintenance support of my dependents. Upon inquiry with the HR, they mentioned that maintenance support letter is usually supplied when the dependents were invited for first time.
I have not changed my employer since I arrived in Nov 2015 and they are A-rated sponsors. During our previous CoS extension we never had to supply maintenance support as it usually certified by my sponsor on CoS. Since my ILR application is still consideration and based on new rules, shall I just submit the extension application as previously without showing any bank statements?
I am hoping for right guidance.
Thank you and best regards
Imran
