standard visitor visa- delayed passport return.

hi,
i applied for 6 months visitor visa for uk in lahore vfs center on 24th November 2020. i received application issued email on 9th december. after that i havent heard anything from them. it is more than a month now and i have to travel soon. i contacted UKVI global helpline and they said they can only esclate the matter and cant do or guarantee anything. it is more than a week after that escalation but still no luck. can anyone here guide me how can i get my passport back? or how long will it take them more to send my passport back. people who applied in mid december are getting their passport back already.
