Urgent - Regarding Earning and Provident Fund

Post by hamakhaa » Sat Sep 20, 2008 2:53 pm

Hello,
I am planning to apply for tier 1 in coming months. I want to know if employer side provident fund which is not part of gross salary and employee side provident fund which is part of gross salary can be considered as previous earnings ?

It is important to note that gross salary includes employee side provident fund but it is cut along with income tax every month.

Both types of pfs are given to the employee when he leaves the company. Please guide if amount of both provident fund can be considered as earnings or any one type.

Please provide me guidance if anyone has this scenario in his/her previous earnings. Thanks.

Only gross income declared on the payslips is considered for earnings calculations. And employer contribution to your EPF are not reflected on the payslips!
