Checklist / Other evidence of absence SET(O)

Post by rodvmu » Thu Dec 03, 2020 1:10 pm

Hi,

I've come across different threads and sometimes they say slightly different things. For tier 2 general, 5 years route, when the date a person entered the UK is after the date their visa was issued, for example:

a) Date visa issued on BRP 31/01/16
b) Entry clearance "valid from" date on passport: 14/02/16
c) Date entered the UK 17/02/16

In this case, which of the 3 could I start counting the qualifying period from?

Many thanks!

To be safe use 17/2 in this scenario.

Checklist / Other evidence of absence SET(O)

Post by rodvmu » Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:24 pm

Hi all,

In the SET(O) checklist one of the documents they say I have to provide is:

"Other evidence of Mr XXXXXXs reasons for absences from the UK"

I'm already providing a letter of absence from the employers I've had, containing all absences and there are just a few really, nothing over 30 days/year even counting my holidays. Do I need to provide anything else? Or can I just ignore this one?

Thanks!
