SET(M) Dates

Post by Gudwin » Wed Feb 10, 2021 3:58 pm

Hi all,

Some confusing information I'm finding (nothing really changed in the past 5 years since I haven't touched UK immigration topics myself).

Could somebody point me to the gov.uk document where it states that for SET(M) on spouse visa route continuous period starts from the entry date, rather than from the first BRP issue date?
My wife's first BRP states 21.02.2016 while the real entry date is 28.03.2016.

Some topics would say that it's 21.02 minus 28 days and others that it's 28.03 minus 28 days.
Which one is it and is there a supporting document anywhere?

Refer to Immigration Rule E-ILRP.

……...the applicant must, at the date of application, have completed a continuous period of …. at least 60 months in the UK.....
