ILR 5YEARS COUNT FROM ARRIVAL DATE OR RESIDENCE CARD

Dear members
here is my husband history
EEA family permit visa entry clearance date of entry in UK 6/05/2017
Residence card 5 years issue date 26/10/2017 expiry date 26/10/2022
simple question 5 years count from date of entry means 6/05/2017 or
5 years will complete when residence card expire?
i am confuse if any one can help exactly which date to apply thanks

If you were married when he arrived, you can use the date of entry. The card expiry is irrelevant
