IRL on soon to be expired passport.

hi, so i'm a non eea national and i have IRL on my soon to be expired passport, end of march. my concerns are what happen if i don't renew my passport? i don't intend to travel for for another maybe few more years because of rona. should i worry about losing my job because of my expired passport but i have ilr which proves i have the right to live and work in the uk?

what happens if i don't renew my passport or apply brp? assume that i will travel in the future, then I'll renew passport.
