life in uk test

hi.my wife has come to uk on spouse visa 4 months ago.can she give life in uk test now.i know its 5 years till she can apply for indefinite leave but can she pass life in uk test now .someone told me she needs to be in uk for 6 months before she can even sit the test.is that true and will the test be valid for 5 years when she applies for indefinite leave.please answer the 2 questions.amazonian cr001 or anyone please.thank you

I believe the LITUK test can be taken any time, not aware of any residency pre-condition, and the pass does not expire. If you do it now make sure you keep a record of the pass reference number. Test centres upload the pass references to UKVI, but who knows how long they'll stay on their system.

Under current rules, there is no time limit on LITUK tests. Rules can change, some times overnight.

Unless there is a pressing urgency to take the test asap, I would suggest holding on till the year of applying for ILR or the year before that at the earliest.
