When earliest we can apply for setteles status.

Hi,

We both arrived in uk on 21 March 2016

Can We apply Settelled status few days before 5 years complet i.e 15 march 2021.

Some people say u can try before that

Update:

My wife applied 4 days before and she got it straightway.
As her residence for 5 years proved at the time of application.

For me they ask proof for 2016 ,2020 and 2021.
I didnt understand why they asked for the 2016.

Since my I was on hmrc record for the year 2016-2017,

But 2016 was not the full year as i started job in sept.

I added new evidence,

Ticket dated we arrived together,: 20 march
Tenancy Contract starting from 25 May 2016 (one year)

Council tax 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022

Will these evidence enough to prove?

On the other hand they say u can upload only 10 docs,

In the guidance they say in case long dated evidence they still can ask for further documents,

Shall I prepare to print out my bank statement for whole period of five years, i.e six months for every qualifying year.


Please advise if some one know about this , as I dont want to delay
