Request for Experience Information

Hello there,

I am currently writing a play, which contains one character who is an immigrant to the United Kingdom. Having done much research, I still find that I can enrich my understanding of the experiences of immigrants to this country further. Therefore, I would appreciate it if anybody could give me their accounts of;

- how they got to the United Kingdom
- their initial experiences
- experiences and difficulties obtaining work permits, accommodation, etc
- cultural experiences within the UK, and intigration in to British culture
- dealings with official authoritie, especially the police

As I understand some of this might be quite sensetive information, I am happy for people to send me private messages.
