Apply Indefinite Leave next week

Post by Zaki789 » Mon Aug 16, 2021 12:45 pm

Hi all,

I hope you are doing well.

I am applying for my wife's indefinite leave to remain next week. I have a few queries and I will be thankful if you can address these.

1) My wife entered UK in October 2014 as my Tier 1 dependent. I got ILR in 2016 and she got her first of 2.5 year spouse visa on 20 Sep 2016. Can she apply for her ILR after 23 Aug 2021? Her 2nd extension is finishing in Nov 2021. I got UK nationality in Aug 2017.

2) We live in a house owned by my brother and we live rent free. We need a letter from my brother stating this fact and his mortgage statement. What does that letter include ( from my brother ) ? We pay council tax and all other bills

3) Employer letter ( Category A) , Can you please guide me to where i can find the template for that letter? I checked but couldn't find one. Thanks

4) I got promoted a couple of times but didn't get the revised contract of employment. Can I use the same contract of employment which i got when i started my job ? My salary is more now as compared to 2 years ago. If the employer letter shows the current salary increase date, would it be ok or I need to get a new contract?

Thank you in advance of your reply

1. Yes. Use form SET(M)

2. There is no specific letter.

3. There is no template. See: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf

4. You do not need to send any contracts

Thank you zimba.

Just on the accommodation letter point. Will the Letter from my brother, copy of his passport, mortgage statement and building insurance be enough? Will you please have a look below to see if it is reasonable/adequate and he doesn't need to include any more detail.

Thanks

As I pointed to you there is NO specific requirement so I cannot tell you what is the correct letter.

Ok, May be I am not very clear on what I am asking.

Will the Letter from my brother, copy of his passport, mortgage statement and building insurance be enough evidence to show that we fulfil the accommodation requirement?

Thanks
