Applied for vignette transfer but passport wasn't taken by TLS

Hello,

My wife applied for vignette transfer as her 90 days entry date was expired. She did her biometrics at TLS and after scanning/coping her passport they then returned the passport back to her.

We were expecting her passport to be taken and return back with a new vignette but TLS said her passport wasn't needed.

We are not sure if this is correct or not, could please help clarify if this is right, meaning that the passport doesn't have to be sent to the decision making center for the vignette transfer process? Is that how it works?

Is there no one who knows the process of vignette transfer who can clarify weather a passport needs to be re-submitted or not?

Wait till you get someone who knows or went through it to respond. Bumping up does not make the correct answer come quicker.

I believe it might because some centres are no longer keeping passport and they normally ask people to come back and submit them then place a vignette on them. I believe that might be case so when the vignette is ready then they will sent you an email.

Pls have a look with the screenshots below comparing my spouse's application and other application as an example. The first is my spouse's vignette transfer application which I'm little bit confused especially given with the circumstances I outlined in this thread.

My question is why is the Biometric Enrollment reversed back into red. FYI, my wife did do her Biometrics and the states prier to the new update with the Application Transferred To VAC was green. In other application when the status Application Transferred To VAC is updated to reflect the making of a decision all previous stages stay green.

Any I idea what this mean? Does my spouse need to re do her biometrics again? I'm little confused.
