New passport without LTR and Schengen application

Post by JacquesK » Sun Nov 02, 2008 7:50 pm

Hi,

I am in the process of applying for a new passport (my passport is full and I would not be able to apply for an extention of my HSMP at the end of next year). I read on UK border agency's website that I do not have to tranfer my LTR to my new passport and only have to travel with both passports.

Can anyone please let me know if they have done the same or similar and if you had any problems with getting back into the UK.

Also how would this affect an application for a Schengen visa? As my new passport will not have my LTR in it untill I apply for my extention at the end of next year.

Thanks,

JacquesK

Jacques,
In both cases you have no problems all you need do, is present your old passport together with you new passport.
Best of luck!
