Confusion with which form to apply

Post by Rosie_roro » Fri Nov 19, 2021 7:38 pm

Hi all,

I would be grateful if anyone can help me to clarify some confusion regarding the correct I should be applying for my situation. Thank you!

My husband is a UK-born Britsh Citizen and is qualified with all financial requirements.
I have been living in the UK for 5 years now, with a spouse visa (from 2016 to 2019, renewed from 2019 to 2022) And my BRP will be soon expired on 1/1/2022. I believed I'm eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain - and I wonder if the SET(M) form is the correct form to apply (I'm a bit confused with FLR(M))

Also, if anyone knows once I got my ILR, I can apply for British Citizen straight away (without waiting for 12months) as my spouse is a British Citizen (given all the rest of the requirements are fulfilled)?
:? :? :?

Massive Thanks!!!!

Thank you!

I do have another question regarding the 6 letters /documents.

We now only have council tax letters (2020 and 2021) that are addressed to us jointly.
But we don't have other documents that have both our names on them together.

As the documents requirements said " 6 letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years "

Would UKVI accept letters/documents that address to use individually but to the same address (that covers 2.5 years)
E.g I have my HMRC letters to the same address as well as my husband has his own HMRM letter to the same address?

Thank you!!!

Yes, acceptable. Its last 2years that letters needs to be shown for. 6 if addressed to you both or 6 pcs each if individually addressed.
