How Nov08 change will affect ILR on 5 years WP, Please help!

Post by Aries » Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:42 am

Dear Forum Members,

I will be applying for ILR in the first week of December 08 based on 5 years WP.

Will you please let me know if my ILR application will be considered on the basis of existing system i.e. application on SET(O) form with my documents and a letter from my employer that I am still working with them.

I found this information on UKBA website but I am little confused about it:

How changes to our immigration system affect your application to work here

From the above link, related to my query.
>>If you already have a work permit you should continue to apply for leave to enter or remain under the immigration rules relating to work permits, which will remain in force after Tier 2 and Tier 5 are launched.<<

If anyone knows how it will affect my case, please reply.

Thank you in advance. :D

I suspect you may still apply for settlement.

Hi Aries...Under transitional arrangments ....its says " If the leave you have is in a category that currently lead to settlement, this page also explains how you will be able to continue towards that aim" see below link for details ........I think, you can apply for settlement.
