Spouse visa question

Post by PaulMoldo » Fri Jan 07, 2022 12:08 pm

Hello, my name is Paul. I have been living in UK since 2018 and I also have a pre-settle status. Me and my wife would like to apply for a spouse visa under Appendix rule. Unfortunatelly my income in the last 12 months does not meet the criteria required, my question is, if for instance in March 2022 I will be able to prove an income in the last 12 months over 18,600 can I start in April 2022 my application? And another question is about the accomodation criteria, currently I live in a 3 bedrooms house with a separate study room, house which is shared with another couple. All of the tenants have our name on the tenancy agreement with the agency, I would like to ask you if this type of accomodation is going to be accepted or do we need to rent our own house, only for me and my wife. Thank you for your time and I am looking forward for an answer.

Considering the circumstances you describe I believe your wife is eligible to apply for an EUSS Family Permit which is free of charge and has no financial or accommodation requirements:

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately we can not apply for EUSS family permit because our marriage is after 31 December 2020. From what I know, spouse visa is the only option to bring her here for future. Thank you again

Suggest you look at the guidance on the financial requirements and return to the forum if you have any questions

one bedroom for 2 people is fine but you'll need to obtain the landlord's confirmation that your wife can move in. See the guidance:
