Entering the UK

Post by VarUtd » Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:12 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am a non EU citizen, i live in UK with a BRP and got pre-settled status, i am thinking to go on a holiday this March for 10 days and return to UK, my passport is expiring in July the 15th 2022, will that cause any problem for me entering the country or as long as the passport is Valid it wont be an issue ?

Thank you
Regards

Not an issue.
https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control/be ... for-the-uk
"Your identity document should be valid for the whole of your stay."
Clearly you are a resident with pre-Settled Status.

Thanks for your answer.

That was helpful , i am still conecerned about that it mentions ( It should be valid for your whole stay )

The pre-settled status is expiring in 2024, passport expiring in July.

Is that mean that the passport should be valid till 2024, or they will care about my BRC and my Pre Settled status .

Thank you

No it doesn't mean that - if you are a temporary visitor it's a valid statement - not if you are a resident - update as and when necessary.
When you get a new passport you update your pre-settled status (online), in July, and in 2024 apply for Settled Status
