ILR Application - Strange Issue, please help

Hi All
I will be really helpful for any guidance on this issue.
I have been in UK on work permit for more than 5 yrs with same company. I have sent my postal application for ILR with my passport and my wife's on; 1st oct and money taken out on 7th oct . Now the problem is by mistake I had sent my wifes old passport which was issued to her before marrige and then cancelled and reissued a new one as my wife with her surname changed. All her visa stamps are on her new passport which is sitting with me. I haven't heard from home office and I want to know what should I do and will this be taken as a fraud or something?
Please help I am really worried.

Hi

You should called Ho and ask them , by mistake you send them old passport . they will advise you . or + you can send a covering letter immediately with newpassport with proof of delivery .

I called home office today and was told they can't tell me if application has been processed or not till 14 weeks. But have asked me to send my wifes correct passport with covering letter. If my application is not processed then we will be fine but if it has then I will have to apply for ILR again with new form and more fees
